After studying at Brighton College of Art, I spent six years living, working and travelling in Asia, Australia, the United States, Mexico and Spain, amongst many other places.
My work has been influenced by the places in which I found myself, and includes painting, collages and photographs, often exploring religious icons in found objects and fleeting images.
In recent years while studying literature at Cambridge, I became fascinated by the connections between the written line and the drawn line; using layers of ink, graphite, acetate and thread onto canvas and glass, to make palimpsests that are open to interpretation.
Having completed an MA in Creative Writing at UEA, and currently working on a PhD at the University of Leicester, I’m continuing to develop these multi-media pieces in combination with the specifics of the human figure, exploring characterisations and stories within the images that emerge.
